Churchless written by Barna Group, is not a book intended for the masses. Honestly, outside of Christian circles, a reader would be mystified by this particular title. Editors George Barna and David Kinnaman have provided an amazing piece of research for churches and for the Christian who have noticed the culture shift in our country/5.

This practical, insight-driven book will help you look past the surface of church attendance to deeper spiritual realities and understand those who choose not to be part of a church―the first step toward building trust-based relationships that lead to Christ-centered community/5().

Churches is a very large, coffee table book. It opens in the middle rather than on the right. While that is creative, it makes it very difficult to hold.

The pages open on the left flop and bend which makes it uncomfortable to hold/5(28). This book (coffee table Churchlets book contains wonderful, detailed photographs of about 40 rural churches from across the United States, each incredibly beautiful in its own way--some very simple, such as Missionary Baptist in Cades Cove, Tennessee (one of my favorite places in the south); others more formal, such as St.

James Episcopal in Goose Creek, SC/5(9). Tiny Churches by Dixe Wills is an utterly charming ramble across the British Isles. With wry humor, insight, and a complete appreciation for Churchlets book subject matter, Wills makes the reader vicariously EXPERIENCE each tiny church for herself, joining him in his careful observation of the most minute details of each edifice and its often quirky surroundings and settings/5(55).

If you want a book that gives little more than just the name of a given chaplet and often a very brief description, then this is the book for you.
